Want to sand down and re stain a set of grips I have how do I remove the mediallions?

You can pop it off from the inside of the grip. You will need something with a right angle tip, go thru the slot cut for the tang, and push from the inside.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

In fact I'm doing a set as we speak.....I use an allen wrench. Pick the size where the short end doesn't quite fit into the tang hole and use it as a lever to pop out the medallion. After one is out, you can put the long end of the allen wrench straight through the medallion hole to pop the other one out. You may have to poke around to find the medallion hole but it's there.
