OfflineA model 14 with a 5-digit s/n sounds to me like a Porkchop style. A "drift" rear sight is a 14, a fixed rear sight is a 14-1...141-2's should be into the 6-digit area. These guesses pertain to Monson guns, of course.
As always, a photo would speak just under 1,000 words when ID'ing DW's..

OfflineA drift rear sight is adjustable by "drifting" or pushing left or right. It is not height adjustable, and you adjust windage (left-right) by tapping the sight body/blade with a drift punch and hammer (or a sight pusher if available and it will fit). This is a somewhat adjustable rear sight that will also stay pretty fixed once it is adjusted.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Mine has a fixed sight, sorry that I didn't mention that. Thanks all for the responses, with this information I would assume mine is a 14-1, which made in Monson.
