I liked the color that was originally on this grip. I'm unsure if it is a factory color offering or not???
If anyone knows or has redone their grips could chime in I would appreciate it. I have an old Minwax stain samples that looks close but I don't have a walnut sample to test on. On pine some seem to have the hues but the walnut already has color to it.
And if anyone has pics of grips they redid and the stain color I wouldn't be averse to changing the color either.

That may not be walnut. Put a little stain on the inside to preview the color?

I got close to original on the color but I think I like the new more. The grip cleaned up nicely, nicks, and small gouges sanded out without changing any of the contours.

WOW, 605Dart!!!! That came out Fantastic!!! Very nice job. I want to do the same to the target grip on my 15-2, but it is checkered and I don't want to mess that up. If I decide to try, I am gonna hit you up for a tutorial!

Unless you had an original to compare, you would never know. Nice job.
