Does anyone know if the hammers from the large and small frames are interchangeable?  I've got a 715 and would like to put a large frame hammer in it.  The shape of the large frame hammer looks like it comes back farther making it easier for single action shooting.

No they aren't and to fit it would require extensive machining.  The contact surfaces and the attachment for the transfer bar are different.  I have both and have changed out the trigger springs on both.
