Well I ignored one several yeas ago and never really thought about it . There was just so many other DWs to horde. This time I was not so lucky and this one came home . Currently not picture worthy due to scruffiness but I hope to soon have that fixed. What I got is a 5" fixed heavy barrel, .357, stainless Palmer gun marked Wesson Arms

First Palmer gun for me. I notice where the cylinder is recessed for cartridge heads is cut differently and maybe the hammer is different. What else is different about Palmers ?

First fixed barrel gun. I assume the production was a narrow window . Any idea when these were made ?

Actually I would be interested on ANY factoids about Palmer fixed barrels to get me up to speed.  All new to me.

Lastly where do these fit in the DW caste system . Odd ,different fun to have , would not let my dog have one, would love to have but can't find or would rather buy a Taurus ?????

Fixed barrel guns made in Palmer came with 3", 4", 5", 6", 7" & 8″ Heavy barrels with a diagonal cut on the muzzle end like a Vented 2-1/2. Most common were 3", 5" and 7."

Also, I believe fixed barrel revolvers where only manufactured in the 15-2, 715, 41, 44 and 744 models.

Also 714.  Fixed compensated barrels were also offered.

If a man designed it, and a man built it, then a man can fix it.

The hammers spur has cross hatching. That was always done on stainless but by 1986 I think blue guns also. They also ceased recessing the cylinders.
