Hello I was looking at new listing on GB 744 10 out of texas and was wondering if anyone new when they started building the fixed barrel guns at DW. It's not that it is a fixed barrel, was looking at pictures and it got me wondering. Any thoughts would be appreciated.occasion

Hey Pops,

The fixed barreled guns were only manufactured at the Palmer plant.  If what I have read is correct they were only manufactured between 1992 and 1994 or 95.  I could be off a little but that's pretty close.  And from what I can tell they only made the fixed barrels in 357 and 44.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Jody, from what I've seen to date, you're absolutely correct. Now watch, some newbie will pop in tomorrow with a .41 fixed barrel, or something.lol2

Sounds about right, my Model 44FB was purchased in 95 or 96,  It was right when the Palmer plant was closing down, and my local shop could only find FB models.
