About paint, or as I use, fingernail polish.. some colors grab your eye, without you really seeing color, I put some "hippie" orange on an H&R 32L, while I do Not consciously See the "color" my eye picks up that front sight naturally.. Now I gotta remember who I bummed that from!!!Prolly a Daughter in law!!
More like Hifi purple from a hippie named Joe!

Out of curiosity, what did you use to remove the paint? I have often wondered if paint thinner would also compromise the bluing.

Sure seems overkill of Caustics...WD-40 was ready made for such endeavors!!! Not Instant...but, Not Caustic!!!
