My Revolver SN #14693 (Monson, Mass) side plate will not close  all the way after I dis-assembled  it for cleaning.

Everything appears to fit.

I am attempting to locate a hand spring as the old one appears weak.

Thanks,

Jimmy

PM me your address and I will send you a hand spring. Do you have the improved hand with the slot in the back for the end of the spring to fit into. You should have that type. You have a porkchop model, circa 1971. Do not force the sideplate in. Don't give up. It will eventually fit. Make sure the frame pins on the right side of the frame are seated all the way. A block of wood over them and a smart rap with a rubber or wood mallet will work. The slightest bit unseated does strange things.
