Offline"endorse"? I have a Bianchi 6" holster that has DW stamped on it for the size of the gun; this was bought for a S&W 657 as a gift for me. Not a perfect fit for the S&W. It is a DW .44 fit.
I remember seeing a pic of a DW shoulder holster for a large frame DW?. It swiveled down when unsnapped so you could draw the gun more horizontal. Nice looking bit of leather.
I don't know about your number but DW in Norwich sold holsters. They were offered in their brochures. They are distinctively marked DW. There is no other makers name. I have a Supermag Holster, 6" VH, that swivels back when you sit down. I suppose you could draw it at adjustable angles but there is no way to secure a specific angle. I stole mine for $100, as new in Original package. The price when new was more than that. I also have a small frame DW Holster. There were 4 or 5 models offered. In 12 years I have only seen several for sale. If that is what you see, grab it fast. Especially a swivel Holster. It would work with a large frame 44 too.

Very nice! Looks like one holster could fit both V and VH shrouds?Diamond D Leather out of Wasilla, AK, will make holsters for DW in either V or VH fit. They call it Half or Full Lug. BUT they will never have that beautiful DW stamp on them!
Didn't know that DW ever had a line of holsters. I am going to start looking for them.
Do you own any of the Diamond D holsters? I am tempted to buy one.

OfflineHere's my 4" 744 in a couple of different holsters. I primarily use them for IDPA competition shooting so my opinions are definitely skewed toward that.
Diamond D holster, really well built and rides low on the waist. Not great for IDPA because the retention strap cannot be temporarily removed.

Simply Rugged holster, rides much higher than Diamond D which is nice and only has a friction fit. Re-holstering can a little tricky since the holster wants to flatten itself.

Safariland 568 holster, originally designed for N frame Smith and Wesson revolvers but adding a few extra spacers lets a Dan Wesson fit very nicely. Hybrid of leather and kydex that retains its shape. Unfortunately discontinued these days and is my standard holster for IDPA competition shooting.

OfflineI have a Diamond D Alaska Guide shoulder holster for my DW44-8V. It's very comfortable. I've carried it for up to 8 hours on the range without a problem. The gun looks HUGE all wrapped up in leather and wearing its combat grip. A young man asked me what kind of gun it was..."Thats a Dan Wesson .44 Magnum!"
The Wife has the same holster for her S&W329. She likes it and lets me use it every now and then. The nice lady at their shop helped her get it adjusted so it will work for her. I don't tweek those adjustments when I'm using it.
The above holsters are leather and made to fit that specific gun.
I also have one of their "synthetic" shoulder holsters for a Ruger SRH .480. It carries well and fits the "any weather any time" need. It is more one size fits several guns, but it fits well enough; the "padding" seems to form to the gun a bit over time.
My Dan Wessons and leather holsters don't get to play in the rain and snow any more.
Diamond D makes a very nice leather hip holster (Alaska Hunter?). Some day I'll have some extra $ and I'll have them make me one for DW44-4VH. I plan on getting the flap to help protect the gun. $$$
