I took the time to read that whole thread. All very interesting ways to clean a revolver cylinder face.

Myself I wipe the face with #9 on a rag and that's about it. Yeah the stain is there, and will be there every time I shoot it. LaughDoes it effect accuracy, NO.

Would countless cleanings with a metal polish remove metal?  Sure, it's a mechanical means of removing a discolored metal. Will it effect accuracy? I doubt it.  Now if a guys is using a dremel tool and grinding away after every shooting that might alter the cylinder face enough to upset the bullet as it enters the forcing cone.
