Yes, the threads are the same. In years past the factory could remove the barrel but the barrel may not be reusable.It is torqued on. A new BA would be needed as there is no place to fit the barrel nut in the shroud.
Best to leave it as is. Buy more Dans. It seems that the factory did sell the BAs with the slant on the muzzle. I have a Palmer 3inch BA with the configuration of the fixed barrels. No Vent and the slanted muzzle.

Point was to determine if it can be done, and has anyone done it?
One of my possible future projects requires a Palmer 15-2 frame. Easiest to acquire are Palmers are FB.
