i have an 8" barrel, nut and shroud for my model 44. the nut seams to go on tightly and screw in evenly after the first three or four threads. could the barrel nut be for a different barrel, ie caliber? are there markings on the barrel to determine the caliber? or the nut? on e other question, is there an issue shoting from a non ported barrel thru a ported shroud? i would think the other way around could be very dangerous.
