Just took delivery of a High Standard Sentinel Mk II in decent shape.

I had a Mk III a few years ago but also 2 S&Ws 357s (66-2 abd 28-2) and thought the "Dan Wesson" was one too many.

I was wrong and when I saw one on gunbroker for a good price I bid and won. ($346.00. I think I did OK)

So I know the Mk. II is a Dan Wesson Model 14 and I believe it is completely compatible in terms of all the mechanics and all the pieces are interchangeable (Right??)

I've got to take it down and clean it up but timing is good, no shake or shimmey, and a bit of Mothers will clean up the frame and barrel.

It's got a 3 3/4" barrel and it looks to be one I can remove if I want to change it, which I probably won't; unless I'd consider a 2" or so tube to make it a 'snubbie," but a heavy one I should think.

But if I should want to change barrels can anyone give me an aprox. price for say a 2" and 6"?  And what does the removal tool go for?  I'll be looking at ebay and here I should think and would like to know a fair price.

Al;s wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a decent OWB holster.  Don't need fancy or expensive, just something practicable and economical.

I'll be at the range this weekend and hope to do a bit of a range report.

(My only fear is that this one will get "lonely" and I'll be looking for a companion or three

A common affliction called Dan Wesson Acquisition Syndrome or DWAS. It is incurable but can be put into remission (mostly when you run out of money).

Ole Dog will come along and answer your questions.

dwf-welcome to the dwf
