I have a new to me DW 14 (fixed sights) with 4 inch barrel. It seems to constantly shoots left about one inch. Elevation is excellent. My sight picture is with the front post favoring the right side of the rear. My test group was seven shots in a one inch square, so I,m guessing the gun is very accurate. I was shooting reloads, 158 grain. Also, factory loads have the same result. The big question is, can something be done or is this going to be a little Kentucky windage needed? For self defense this is quite acceptable at 30'. I just would like it to hit center of my aim. Great gun, good to be part of the forums and thanks for any ideas you all may have.

Welcome to the forum Padre, in my limited experience with fixed sights sometimes a little Kentucky windage is needed. Personally I think if it only shoots 1 inch to the left and keeps them all in within 1 inch square that is excellent. Some of us can't shoot adjustable sights that well!

Sometimes the aligning pin for the shroud might allow a little movement, you could see if you could clock the shroud slightly one way or another  before tightening the barrel nut.

Thanks Lonwolf, I was resting my elbows on a bench. I'm not that great a shot.

It sounds like the gun wants a lighter bullet. Try something in the 125~135 range. The "left" part may simply be your trigger finger technique...switch hands & that may reverse itself.wink If so, you need to work on your trigger pull.

Bingo ! Left hits = trigger pull.

Run two to three hundred rounds though her before you make any

adjustments and if I were to make a change the first would be a grip

type/shape/size change.
