What is the total length of the rail? Looks a little too short for a 2X or larger pistol scope. Are you planning to use a red dot sight?

Approximately 4.5"
I have 3 of them (one on 722, 715, and 744). All use 2-7x32 and 2-6x32 LER scopes.
I also started using a red dot on the 722 and 715. Lot of fun.
I had the scope bases cerakoted in a stainless color to match the guns.
