I was checking to see if the 44 and 744 Pistol Packs originally came with a 2.5 inch barrel. I thought they only came with the 4, 6, and 8 inch barrels. I wasn't for sure if a complete 44 Magnum Pistol Pack came with a 2.5 inch barrel. I know that EWK makes a 2.5 inch barrel.

Yup, no 2.5 inch BA's from the factory for the large frame guns. However, both V10's and VH10's were available.

I have a factory 2.5 VH 44 mag on my 'movie gun'. I've never seen one before this.

Yes it is. I think that there is a mis-attribution to the movie Red Heat. I picked up a copy and do not see a scene where Arnold puts his finger in any gun. I do remember seeing a movie where somebody put a finger in a revolver barrel, but can't remember what movie it was. The gun has a certificate of authenticity from the studio and the Stembridge collection, so I have no doubt it was a movie prop, but I think they had it attributed to the wrong movie. I guess I'll just have to watch all the old '80's/90's action adventure movies to see where it shows up, something to do during this cold wintr, RESEARCH!

I will keep my eyes open and nope 2.5" is a aftermarket or order!
