OfflineWith all the excellent equipment available today (Dillon, Lee, RCBS, Lyman, Hornady, Frankford Arsenal, Redding to name a few), there is no reason not to get into hand-loading (reloading) your own ammunition.
My first starter bench; a Lee Classic Turret Press raised with an Inline Fabrications 9" steel stand, mounted to 4x2's for a total lift of over 12" off the bench. Installed the Lee Deluxe Carbide Dies with a Pro Auto-Disk powder measure and the Safety Prime loader ... and lots of space to play !
The bench tool set is coming along, with the addition of the Starrett punch sets I got in today.

OfflineI started with the easy .45 ACP and then moved up to the 9mm with great success. I wanted to produce cheap, light target loads for my days at the range and have enjoyed the academic exercises to achieve a small appreciation of the science and close tolerances necessary, measured with precise scales and micrometers.

Just ordered the Lee 4-Die Deluxe Carbide .38 Special / .357 Magnum Set and look forward to pumping out some rounds for my Dan's now !

Either youse guys don't reload much, or I'm a slob! Those benches are way, way too neat.
I'm with ya! Gotta re-arrange stuff every time I want to reload but soon I'll have a 12' x 24' room above the garage with benches on both sides. I still have 5 presses to mount....

BTW, I think we need this
The blank slate came at a price (new home construction project), however, I did manage to position everything so the berm is 110 yards from the window over the garage. I have no idea what ever possessed me to do that....

Hmmm, sounds like we will have to put some thought into helping you determine some uses for this unique topographical anomaly.

OfflineI went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

OfflineHere's my bench. Dillon 550B. I've been loading mainly 9mm, 45acp and 357, plus the occasional 45 colt, 44 mag and 445 Supermag. The bench shares my 24 x 36 shop with 3 Harleys, a hydraulic lift, 2 bicycles, 2 generators, Cable TV, Refrigerator stocked with beer (none to be consumed during loading) and 2.5 tons of AC, not to mention other "stuff". I tend to spend as much time as possible out there.

My metallic reloading equipment currently shares space in the study; which is kinda rough on the back as I've yet to figure out how to get the stool to swivel.
Excellent Multi Tasking, a little Tidy bowl might clean that brass nice
Here's my area, soon as the ole lady moves her bs, getting there
