OfflineI bought these on epay hoping to salvage them.

Unfortunately they were shipped like loose coins in a paper envelope. They arrived minus the 10" barrel in an open package. I do not know if damage to the threads are previously existing. The barrels are by my guess .44 and 357 Max. I have them soaking in Kroil. I will blast them with cleaner and run brushes through the lead-fouled barrels and threads and polish the crap off the 357 max barrels with Flitz. I am not sure if the 10" shroud is SS or raw steel? There is so much metal taken off I am not sure? At first I thought it was homemade.
What's the best way to cleanup the threads on the forcing cone end?
Am I missing anything to bring these babies back from the dead?
If the threads are damaged you can try straightening them by screwing the frame end into a frame and the muzzle end use a barrel nut . I have a chaser tool for 357 Mag but I don't know what size you would need for the 44 and 357 Max. I would be afraid to use a frame and maybe damage the treads on the frame . Have you tried to install them in a frame.?
