OfflineHere is my setup. Apologies for the crappy pic but bad lighting ,cellphone, the nut behind the cammera, y'all know. Anyway most of the supplies are stored elsewhere but this is the home full of children model. You can close and lock the cabinet doors at any point and walk away. Too many small children around my house to have an open bench. Do they ever grow up?
(EDIT) OK the crappy pic was so bad I tried again, not much better, but a little.

OfflineI don't think I would have been able to reload when my kids were little, without having a dedicated room just for me & my crap...and that wasn't gonna happen. Having a cabinet with doors, would have been a good idea though, if I would have thought of it.
And yeah...that is one crappy pic.

OfflineCrappy pic or not, that's a cool solution. However, do you really need more stuff than that to reload? You and Ed are scaring me; I don't know where I'll find the space.
Oh, and ... No, they don't ever seem to grow up. I think it was Oscar Wilde who said " You are not an adult until your parents are gone."

OfflineDon't panic Mike, It doesn't take that much stuff to get started, although reloading has it's own syndrome. RSAS (reloading stuff acquisition syndrome) and If that isn't bad enough you soon will graduate to CYOBS (casting your own bullets syndrome) It's a vicious cycle I tell you.

OfflineI'm in the closet and not coming out anytime soon.
When we bought the house I took over the closet under the stairs. It's only 35" wide and 7' deep with a sloped ceiling, but it's my space and I can lock the door. I built the bench under the low part out of 4X4' and screwed them to the wall. The top is 2" oak plank with a piece of 1/2" white melamine for a top. I finished the front edge with a tapered piece of cherry. I built the pigeon holes out of 6" oak. It works well for bullets and die storage. I wired a light over the bench and an electric outlet on the left side. I made a few shelves on the high part for books and manuals.
Under the bench is another shelf for my records and bulk bullet storage. I took two cheap cake pans and made a track for the edges to ride on and have two little "drawers" under the bench for my small tool storage
It's small, but very functional. That's my oldest boy loading under my watchfull eye. It's good to start them young.

Well when you do come out of the closet....you'll have tons of ammo!

OfflineBack in the "old days", when I reloaded, the press was C-clamped to the dining room table, we used to eat off TV trays in the living room for a few days. My wife (nurse) was working midnights, sometimes I had all night reloading sessions.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

OfflineOne would think I would have a huge reloading building, as much as I shoot, but you don't need a lot of space, or a lot of stuff. Dale has a great setup for small spaces. I have an extra bedroom I use for reloading, with ammo stored in the closet. Here's my setup, a modifed Black & Deckker Workmate. I had this when I lived in a small apartment, and it worked so well, I never built a bench in the garage.
