OfflineJust getting around to checking the Barrel vs Cylinder Relationship of some Components...For Cast Lead Boolit Shooting.
Luckily I have an Extra Crane and Cylinder Assembly..so I was able to Match the smallest Bore Barrel (2-1/2") to the Small Throated Cylinder, that I have...and also Match a Fairly Normal Cylinder, to the More Normal Bore/Groove Size Barrel (6").
Now Raining...so I cannot shoot to see if it has made as Much Difference as I am Guessing it will...with Cast Projectiles...
Method was to Slug Barrel, then check for Fit in Cylinder Throats.. so Sizes as Mic'ed are only Fairly close..I got fairly Luckiy, in that one Cylinder is quite Small Throat indeed..like .357, but the 2-1/2 barrel is just about that.. but slightly Bigger...Not a Good thing..but, will shoot for Effect...While the other cylinder comes in with 358+ throats and the 6" barrel Grooves measure about 358-
ie the slug from barrel will pass thru the Throats with very Little Pressure...
Will Post Results if there is Any Interest!!
