I have a DW 357 and it appears to have a timing issue. When ever I cock the hammer slowly the cylinder will not rotate completely and lock. If I cock it like I am mad at  it then it will rotate to the lock potion or if you pull the trigger DA style it will lock. It only needs about a 1/16" more rotation to lock when ever this happens. I am not sure what model it is but it does have the allen head side plate screws.

Thanks

Scott

A--make sure the sideplate screws are tight....

B--Your hand might be slightly worn down--if so, it will require replacement.

Shoot's right, I would check the screws first. Also, if you havent already you might want to do a thorough cleaning inside, to make sure the hand and other parts are moving freely and not slightly hanging up with gunk or something. You can follow Shoot's excellent tutorial.

Lube conservatively, to avoid cohesion of the hand to the inside of the sideplate.
