I hear he does excellent work. I've tried contacting him a few times over the last month and a half or so without a response. What's the best way to place an order through him?

I'm guessing you are filling in the contact info on his website, I'm sure he will contact you when he is able to work with you on your project. The more info you give him about what you need, the better response he can give you, BUT I can see that his backlog is about six months right now.
Over the years I have gotten a number of LB items, every one is a work of art, but his grip "business" is really a hobby gone wild, and he's a busy, busy man.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

It just takes time, as I am learning. I emailed him a few months ago, he suggested I email him in two months. So, I waited, emailed again, said he MIGHT be able to take my order in two months from now.

Getting on Bruce's order list is about as tough as getting on a date with Salma Hayek! Well worth the wait though (still waiting to hear from Salma).
