Is there a replacement hand for mod.715 that will improve carry up? Or a fix that anyone knows of. Thanks, Gene

Are you talking about stretching the hand (lengthening)?

No I don't think so. I believe DW rotates the cyl from the side of the hand (extra width carrying the cyl. up earlier) just like S&W does. I did inspect my 715 tonight and found that the side of the hand was ground thinner thus being fit to the ratchets by a previous smith. I am going to order a new hand and fit it to the cyl. leaving a little extra width and I think my lockup will then be sooner. This gun now locks up at almost the same time as the hammer falls on double action. I will post a reply and let you know how this turned out. Thanks for your interest. Gene

You are correct, their is not a decent way to correct a timing issue (with the hand) w/o replacing the hand.
