Can automotive feeler guages be used to check the barrell cylinder gap on a Dw 15-2? Also, I have read on this Forum abouy some cylinders not being completely square. How does one check to make sure the gap is correct at .006 if the cylinders are different lengths?

Yes auto gauges are fine. You can find your high spot two ways, screw
barrel in till it just touches cylinder, back off alittle and rotate cylinder
untill one chamber drags. Or you can set gap then rotate cylinder and
find it that way. I set my gap at .004 on the tightest spot so that it will
be no more than .006 at low spot.
