I have used Barnes rifle bullets, but have no experience with their XPB handgun bullet. Does anyone have experience on how well it would perform on black bear? Or would I be better with a Sierra 300 gr JSP. I'm really only questioning its construction for bear; as their reloading manual #4 speaks to deer and other thin skinned in the .45 Colt. I think it would be a good choice but have never used the XPB... so I'd reather hear from anyone who has.
