Hello members, I am considering changing my red ramp front sight to a plain black patridge style. How do you remove the front sight? It looks like you unscrew the set screw in front of the Bbl and then push out the retaining pin on the side of the bbl. What do you think?

Just remove front screw and then wiggle or tap sight forward and
lift up. Leave the pin alone.

Thanks Blacktop. Glad I asked would have ruined that nice pin! Great information in this Forum to someone who is a "rookie" working on a DW. I did the (average Joe tune-up) and the trigger is now terrific,very little stack in DA and very smooth. Bcked out the trigger stop to just let off and every thing works fine. Wating for a Barrel Wrench and Nut from Eric so I can shoot it over the weekend can't wait.

I'd really love to see a gold bead front for DW's someday. I have shot them on a few other guns,and really like them.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
