OfflineI purchased this gun from a Retired Canadian Soldier, he was selling it for the wife of a friend that had Passed Away. The man that owned it was a Retired Navy Engineer, and also ran a small Silver Mine. He made the plate from silver he mined and smelted it weighs 3.5 OZ. and really balances out the Gun with a 6 or 8 inch barrel. He smoothed out the bottom of grip drilled and inserted the thread guides. The grip is held to gun in origanel fashion. The guy reworked the gun and it has the shortest hammer through in single or double action i have ever experienced and the trigger is smooth as butter. I am proud to own such a fine Gun.

Used a lyman digital trigger pull gauge, single action less than 1lb. Double action 2.5 lbs

I really like this modification and my neighbour is a gold smith....AND I have a bunch of old silver coins laying around....
Getter done, it actually serves a purpose other then looking good. It really helps balance the gun with the 6 or 8 inch barrel. But it does add some bling.. hey Zedbra, do you watch the Switzer auction site? There has been some mint DW 357 and 44s on there at not crazy prices as well as other DW swag grips cases barrel tools etc. And they are Canadian so we can actually bid...lolķ

Now I know that the butt-ends of grips are rarely perfectly match in diameter and shape, but I would be in on placing an order with your neighbor.
