OfflineI have a post on here from when I bought a 744 6-in stainless fixed barrel heavy lug non vent rib model 744
Several of you posted on this thread saying it was cool nice gun nice pickup when I first got it I did some research and it suggested that several thousand of them were made
But I had an AI Gemini Google in Pro mode the subscription mode that I pay for do a deep dive on the internet because I can't find another picture of one of these guns anywhere on the internet except mine and there's one other picture from sniper's height forum that was my gun when the previous owner was trying to sell it
Then I started having the AI do a deep dive into every corner of the internet to find another one anywhere or any record or mention of it and it can't
And then I said there were several thousand made between 94 and 96 at the Palmer factory how could that be possible
And the AI told me that that several thousand number was correct but that was across all fix barrels across multiple calibers and multiple models
And I said oh really so mine could be rare than that and I was like can you find any mention of it to see how many were made and other than people talking about it mostly on this forum it can't find any information on that gun because most were made with a vented rib
And I asked him why mine doesn't and what does that mean and the AI said that in the final days of the company in 1995 before it transferred ownership to the new owner who took control of it '96 there were records of employees taking leftover parts in manufacturing their own take-home lunch box guns
And I said so is it possible that mine is one of those
And the AI said not only was it possible but it was a high probability because there is no mention of this gun anywhere on the internet and it said it did a deep dive to try to find pictures mentions or anything of this specific model in this specific configuration and it couldn't find any fixed barrel heavy lug non- 744s or other 44 Magnums in this configuration
So to The experts salty dog and other is this true
Is this possible I have a one-off only one in existence stainless 6-in 744 heavy lug non-vent rib?

OfflineI was surprised when you said you had a 6 inch fixed barrel. I am only used to seeing odd number barrel lengths on fixed barrels like 3 and 5 inch. I would be surprised if there were not also even numbered length barrels. I can't recall seeing another 6inch 44 fixed barrel. On the other hand, I love the 6inch 44 combination. It'
it's my favorite and also my wife's.
You could have a rare model. I don't think it increases the market value by much. If you had sufficient documentation it might but that is a very unlikely proposition because of the lack of detailed records.
