OfflineI have been recording Ruger Maximum serial numbers since about the mid 80's. Trying to determine ratio of barrel lengths, variation changes, etc., etc. Ruger initially produced 16,314 Maximums. They "scrapped" over 5000 guns from completed guns to serialized frames. If you would be willing to share your number(s) please drop me a PM. Even if it has been converted, let me know. Below are some pics of the front sight height variation on the 7 1/2 Max. If send me a number on a 7 1/2 please note which you have. Just note if it is a "high" or "low" front sight. Thanks for looking, Coogs.
