A S&W .357 with a shrouded barrel. I guess this was made for the same type of shooting events that Wayne's DW Action cup .38 was designed for? PPC shooting...have any of you shooting club guys tried that type of event?

This pic shows what looks to be a regular barrel inside the shroud.

Yeah, it does look sorta heavy.
I was in a gun shop a few weeks ago & spotted a gun in their case that looked an awful lot like that Smith. But the place was packed & I didn't have time to wait around to look at it, so I bailed.
I should go back & investigate.
