Smith 25-5 SN Help!!!

I hope someone on here can help because this is driving me nuts! I recently got a Smith 25-5, 6" with SN JD9065. I have the Standard Catalog of Smith's and can't find date or info on this JD serial number anywhere. I checked it again tonight just to verify, it is clearly marked JD9065. Does anyone else have any other sources on SN info? I thought this book had everything about everything about Smiths...I can't find this one tho!

Perhaps it was a custom order Smith? Have you reached out to S&W and asked if they could help look into it?

I'll have to ask them about it. I haven't pulled the grips to look at the bottom, but if you swing out the cylinder it clearly says Mod 25-5 and JD9065.
