Been looking for one of Karl R. Lewis‘s other designs for my collection. Karl R. Lewis Was the designer of the Dan Wesson revolver also worked for Colt and Designed the Colt Trouper Mk3. Here’s my new to me bright nickel Trooper mk3.

Nice MK lll. I’ve always thought that a MK lll would look awesome wearing a DW barrel assembly. Could be a very interesting project.

I have a revolver I haven't seen in a while. Got a Colt factory letter. It is a Lawman Mkiii with an interchangable barrel ala Dan Wesson. One of a kind prototype that never was put in production. The shroud is aluminum and the barrel nut a little different. It was made in the mid 80s Iseem to want to remember. Karl Lewis offered his interchangable barrel and grip tang to Colt but they turned him down. They were more interested in AR 15/16. Karl found Dan and the rest is history.
