Well the Dan Wesson market has been cooling off lately with not too many nice Dans showing up. Also I'm pretty much at a pass on what I am still looking for. Still want a First Issue 740 and some other really rare Dans other than that the only gun I have been looking for is a nice 29 and I came across this style. There was another one that was on the market for a while at $1850 I thought to high so this one popped up on GI and also guns.com. It had a "make offer" a month ago I went up to $1350 on it seller turned me down I tried to counter at $1375 guess what? On guns.com you only get 3 tries then your not aloud to bid anymore for a month. I kept a eye on it and it showed up on GunBroker last week at auction. Well I won it at $1225 funny how those things work out sometimes I was willing to pay $1375 just a month earlier but the seller would not accept my offers and then I ended up getting the gun for $150 less. Anyway a very cool gun in the original box I just need to add a nice target grip ($95) i'm not too big on S&W but ever since I saw this one I wanted it. The front site is the coolest thing I have seen!

I bought one from my FFL years ago. It had no box but appeared unfired. It was $600. When I researched it I found out that the 29-3 had a problem with the cylinder spinning backward? when used with heavy loads for Silhouette. They fixed that problem with the 29-5. There is a 29-5 Silhouette that is 83/8" also. They sure have appreciated in the last 10 years.
