This surprised me at first but as we talked about it at the trap range, I realized that they are out of step with the growing section of the firearms industry, namely pistols, specifically polymer guns, and 'black rifles'. They also had a few quality issues like the safeties on the 700 and the 742 jambmaster.
Hopefully they can recover and adapt to the changing market.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

I was at a local shop last night talking with a long term sales employee and friend of mine. They stopped selling Remington's last year after sending back 80% of the rifles with quality control issues. He claims they are now using young kids to assemble the rifles with worn out machinery making the parts. Big business mentality has paid its dividends once again it appears...
