OfflineWell, thought I would introduce myself and my baby. I recently purchased a 741VH4/6 (I guess that is how it is identified) and will be here on the forums for some time. Got some great information here on large frame disassembly and reassembly (nice tip on using tread for the hand/hammer
) and on purchasing a barrel wrench from EWK (nice tool
). So without further... here is the new guest...
Would like to get an 8" barrel, wood finger groove grip and a nice box. Soon.
Thanks for the forum...

Offlinethanks you very much for the warm welcome. I hope that I will be able to contribute at least as much as I learn from the forum members.
As mentioned I did go out today to try out the 741 with the 6" barrel at 0.004" gap. What a great experience. Even in my younger days I was never able to get my model 15 to perform like this. At 25 yards, 210 grain Hornaday FTX HP over 9.5 grains Unique, Starline, CCI 300, after shooting about 30 rounds my last 4....
Priceless.......Should have not taken that 4th shot.
Great gun, wonder why anyone would have sold it but glad it has it's new forever home.....
