Hello DW forum. After reading a lot of post off of here I decided to purchase a DW myself. I probably overpaid a little but I had to have it, bought it last week at Cabela's for $500. I've already been out to the range three times. This gun is amazing to shoot.
Please correct me if I am wrong. This is a DW 15-2, Monson, 8" barrel. Serial#:2587XX puts manufacture date in '78 or '79.
I have my target/hunting pistol; now I need to find a 2 1/2" for my CCW.

You missed just one thing, it also has the Pachmayr Gripper, my favorite rubber grip.

Welcome, and that's beautiful. You should be able to find a 2-1/2 barrel assembly on GB or even eBay.

I agree, it doesn't matter if I got the deal of a lifetime. I have a DW revolver I absolutely love and couldn't be happier with. My friend has a S&W 686 I have shot many times and was debating between a S&W 686 and a DW.
I must say I am proud to be a DW owner.
