Nice to find this forum. Recently purchased my first DW from a private seller. Love it but I've already created a problem for myself. Will start reading and then post if I don't find my question already answered.

Sorry to hear you have some issues with your Dan but everyone here will try to help you out- this is a fantastic bunch of knowledgeable guys.

Thanks for the welcome. I bought a 6", I think model 15-2. On my second range trip I over tightened the elevation screw and broke it. In searching this site it appears there is an after market seller of some parts and I found a 2009 factory parts list. Any recommendations on best place to call. I'm not new to handguns but new to DW. Already I can see there are more of them in my future. Thanks for any help.

Start by giving Eric at EWK a call. On the right side of the screen is a link to his web site, he is also a member here. He may be able to fix you up with what you need. The price list is a Dan Wesson list and they are currently out of action following a fire at the factory in Nov 2012, and won't be back up and running until later this spring.
