Hello Everyone,
Just picked up a Model W-12 w/a 2-1/2" bbl, serial #2989 with Original Box, Manual and Paperwork. The DW paperwork list prices that go in effect 8-1-70. Can anyone help with year of Mfg. I also have a model 15-2 w/ a 6" bbl,, serial #231951, not sure of mfg date of this fine piece either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The model 12 is an early one. Made probably about the lime the price list went to the printer. The 15-2 probably in 1980. Give or take a year.

W12 #2989 is probably 1971
Model 15-2 #231591 is definitely 1979.

I'll try to post some pictures in the appropriate forum sections this weekend. The first hand gun I ever purchased was a DW 15-2 in 1981. Unfortunately I had to sell her and always regretted it. I've owned many different Revolvers and pistols over the years and as far as I'm concerned the Dan Wesson is the most accurate of them all.
