Hello the Forum! I've owned a DW Pointman 38 for three years and It has become my favorite 1911. Load it cool, warm, or hot! Kick my butt for not discovering 38 Super and Dan Wesson years ago.

Compared to the Colt Competition in 38S, the DW is my first choice. I've ordered some Accurate No. 7 to try some higher velocity XTPs (and HAP and LRN) and hope to be testing that ammo later this month. This PM38 has eliminated the need for a 9mm 1911, but not the want! My hunger for more DWs exceeds the budget.

I look forward to jawing with like-minded patriots on this forum!

I also have a PointMan that came to me in 2010, but mine is chambered in 45ACP. A sweet running gun, I agree. Mine is probably older than yours, from the early Norwich days, when they put cool markings on the slides. Mine is a "PMA-B" Pointman Aussie-Blued"

I didn't add the PM 38 to the lineup until last NOV. Can't believe I waited that long to add that caliber. Definitely one of the favorite cartridges to shoot and easy to reload for too.
