Howdy all! Although I have been collecting revolvers (mostly S&W, none with lock) for some time, I recently came into possession of a few Dan Wesson SuperMag revolvers. It appears that there's a lot of information available on this forum that I would find interesting.
Unfortunately, scrolling through the forum as a new member to view some of that information, I'm advised that I don't have a high enough member level for access to that information (e.g., Reloading Data), but no information is shown how to upgrade the member level. I realize that various forums have different schema they operate under and this is unlike any other I've encountered. I belong to other forums but find this the most arcane. Very frustrating for a new member. I hope that someone will set me straight. Looking forward to sharing information!

Welcome from Texas.
Nothing secret here. It'd just an ad-free, sponsor-free forum with a wealth of Dan Wesson information.
Chances are that an administrator has not come home from work yet to approve you?
If you like us, I encourage you to also become a supporter. It goes you keeping the website up and the information available to all.
Show us your Super Mags!

Some of the information is in areas restricted to paid supporters level membership. Check "Supporter" on the menu.

Thanks to all for their introductions and information! I apologize for the lousy photography!
That said, here's a couple pictures of the .445 SuperMags. The two 10" barrel revolvers are of Palmer, MA manufacture, while the 4" and the Alaskan Guide Special ("First Issue") were produced in Norwich, NY. I do have an additional 8" barrel/shroud and the barrel wrench and feeler gauges to facilitate their swap, but I'd like to get at least one other barrel/shroud in 6".

Factory ammo.

I also have enclosed pictures of my PM-38 (.38 Super, ANIB) below.

Thanks! I can tell that there are indeed some hard-core, knowledgeable Dan fans here!
Yes, a 6" barrel with VH shroud for the Palmers would be great, but I'm open to consideration for others.
I should mention that along with the guns, I also inherited 500 cases of new, unprimed, Starline brass (my guess is that's a lifetime supply), so I plan on doing some reloading in the near future. In the meantime, it looks like 240 gr. Buffalo Bore is the only commercial ammunition available.
I'm interested to find out how much recoil this caliber inflicts, but I'm no wuss. I've shot .454 Casull (in several different handguns), .475 Linebaugh (in a Gary Reeder Custom Bisley), .500 S&W, and .475 Wildey Magnum, with the .475 Wildey having the absolute worst recoil I've ever experienced in a handgun (unlike Charles Bronson depicts in Death Wish 3). If you've never shot a Wildey, the backstrap is so wide and the recoil so severe, that it caused both mine and my friend's thumb and index (trigger) finger to start tingling after 2 rounds each, due to the impact of the backstrap on the nerves in the web of the hand. Not fun, but there was only one way to find that out. As Ole Dog comments, I'm sure that shooting the 4" SuperMag will be exciting!
Thanks for your responses!

I received the brass in 2 plastic bags of 250 pieces in each, still inside the Starline shipping box.
When I first fired the .500 S&W revolver, my forearm was bruised, likely caused by my trying to 'stiff arm' the gun to minimize the recoil. Subsequently, I allowed the gun to freely recoil after each shot and had no more bruising issues with it. However, I'm a purist, not wanting S&W revolvers with the infamous lock, so I sold the gun shortly thereafter, not because of the recoil.
