hi fellows, my name is mike from pa. glad i found you. just bought my first 1911 and i`m happy to say it is DW valor. joined the 1911 forum to get info a saw a post from mr. severns called the thunder ranch shoot-out. pitted several high-end 1911`s and the valor was one of them. after a lot of research before i bought a 1911 and after reading the post, i had to have a valor. got it last week and it is the finest pistol i own now. this gun is unbelievable! shooting 1in - 1 1/2 groups at 30 yds
with my own handloads. i can hardly believe it.
looking forward to being a member here. thank you!

Another DW 1911 Guy! Welcome to DWF. We are getting more 1911 friendly, don't let these wheel gun guys make you crazy.
ooops-I'm one of the wheel gun guys at heart, I own more DW revolvers than I can shoot with any regularity, but I'm with you! My PM1-S is the BEST gun I own, it is pure joy to shoot, and I think old Dan would be all over making one of the premiere quality production 1911's in the marketplace if he was with us today.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
