Hi, Everybody, first day on the job! I hope things are well with you! I was in my favorite local gun shop a few months ago, and I got a Model 15, 4", .357, with black Hogue Monogrip, and excellent target sights. What a find! This is one of the finest wheelguns I've ever handled. I'm curious as to the date of manufacture. Serial # is 1656XX. Thanks!

Barry, welcome to DWF. My guess (based on the S/N) is that you actually have a 15-2. This will have the "straight" shroud, not the one with the foot that extends from the shroud across the lower part of the frame
1656xx in a 15-2 will be a 1978 gun, and the Hogue mono grip is not original to the gun
