I just recently purchased this Model 12.  It's a bit beat up, as far as finish.  But for $360 it seemed like a decent deal.

I shot about 50 rounds through it.  POI was actually pretty tightly distributed and near POA.

After about 10 more rounds the cylinder stopped rotating.  It initially appeared that the cylinder may be touching the barrel.  Being the inquisitive type, I started disassembly.  The barrel would not come out of the shroud, willingly.  So I had to persuade it with a 0.5" oak dowel.  Turns out that the barrel didn't want to come out because it was flared out at one point by 0.005".  After that I figured I might as well clean everything.  It's actually, a lot simpler than most semi-auto pistols.  But to get to the point, it turned out that the firing pin was actually stopping the barrel from rotating.  It would stick, at times, in the extended position.  I polished the pin, deburred the firing pin hole, and all seems fine now.  I also ordered a replacement barrel from EWK Arms. That should be in my hands on this coming Monday.  Can't wait !

Glad to have you on the DWF!  Glad you were able to correct the issue- a little maintenance/ cleaning usually works on these (or any) revolvers.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

It sounds like that gun hasn't had a decent scrubbing in many years. It definitely landed in the right hands now, it seems. I hope it treats you as well as you have treated the gun thus far.smile
