aboard Johnson…I see from your screen name that you're a fancier of the sea-going boats. Probably from around the Boston area? Yep, gotta love those salty-aqua type vessels, I suppose. Haven't been there myself.

OfflineLooks like you have a Model 14 Porkchop, which would be a fixed sight gun from 1975 ~ 1972. Judging from the s/n, I'm betting it's closer to the 1975 end. Should be (and looks like) a satin blue finish service revolver.
Any larger pics available? The Grips are aftermarket...most likely Pachmayr, which isn't bad & are usually comfy.
