OfflineGreetings from central Florida. I have been reading this forum for several weeks and finally decided to join. I bought my first DW in the mid-70s and have the bug ever since. For some reason they are not the most popular handguns around; something I have never understood. Why would you not want a relatively inexpensive, unbelievably versitile and dependable revolver?
As you can see, I like them.

OfflineI think you will like it here!
First let me say you certainly joined with a bang with that photo! I don't believe I have ever seen barrel assemblies in stainless longer than 10" and I see you have what appears to be a V15 and a VH15 is that correct?
Please give us more details on what's in the photo!
Thanks for sharing!

OfflineFirst off-Welcome to DWF
Second- That's not a collection, it's an obsession
Third- You The Man
Fourth (and last)- SHOOT has met his match
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

OfflineWow just plain wow... If you took every Dan from every used gun dealer and every pawn shop in this state it would not compare to that... not in numbers and certainly not in features!
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.
4 Monson Model 15's
1 Palmer FB 15
1 Rossi 357 Model 92 (lever)

OfflineWell from PA to our new Florida
member,
!! What a way to start the posting with a collection like that. That photo will wipe out more than a few keyboards
. I too would be interested in knowing about the 12" and over model 15 BA's. i have a 12"V, but that is as far as I have ever accomplished the collection in stainless. tell us more..

OfflineI would like to thank you all for the compliments on my collection of DWs. I have accumulated all of these over the past 2 1/2 years and have not been very diligent on the record keeping as to what each is.
However, based on the comments and further reading in the forum, I am trying to compile as best I can what I have. Thus far, I have been able to gather a little data, but seemingly have a long way to go to determine the specific model of each.
As I go through the process, I will undoubtedly depend and rely upon those with more knowledge than I (and that's not much) to identify the model each of each weapon.
And yes, this is an obsession. Unfortunately, it that goes far beyond the Dan Wessons. Like most men, if it goes fast, burns fossel fuel or makes a lot of noise, I want at least one.
