A couple of shooting buddies and I were talking about the guns we own. When one complimented the other on his vast number of guns. He said, "You have quite an Arsenal there". "Collection!" the other stated. Its only an arsenal on the Six O'clock news I stated. Or is it? Then one friend stated the mistake I make when I call his high cap magazine fed semi automatic rifle's "Assault Rifle's". "Sporting Arms!", he corrected. Then one said he hates it when folks call magazines "Clips". I told them I get corrected when I call my wife's purse a "Pocketbook". So where does a collection end and Arsenal begin?

I have adopted:
Modern Sporting Rifle in place Assault Rifle
Standard Capacity Magazine in place of High Capacity Magazine
Unfortunately, my state of residence disagrees with me, so far they are winning
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

My sister refers to all my gun crap as "the armory". Arsenal, armory, gun safe collection, reloading bench etc........ same thing in my book as its usually all in one place in one's private residence.
A collection is just that, a collection of someone's personal firearms. When one refers to an armory/arsenal that is typically a military or police storage facility/gun workshop/munitions factory etc..... also commonly referred to as a powder keg. But that description applies to my gun room here where my meager collection is housed so eh, maybe my sis is right? My 2 cents. YMMV as usual.

Ok, lets take Dantanna's question in another direction.
How many live rounds in your residence justifies a visit from a US or local government agency?
With this current administration I would say One they are the worst anti gunners yet I think they think only law enforcement whitch includes every
Branch of the fedral government, should have guns and bullets.

as far as I know there is no statute in KY that limits what a legal gun owner can possess but there might be some local codes like in FD.
Kentucky law also prohibits a person from being armed with a firearm loaded with armor-piercing ammunition or flanged ammunition during the commission of a felony, or in flight immediately thereafter.3 Flanged ammunition is defined as ammunition with a soft lead core and sharp flanges that are designed to expand upon impact.4
Kentucky law does not:
- Require a license for the sale of ammunition;
- Require sellers of ammunition to maintain a record of the purchasers; or
- Prohibit persons who are ineligible to possess firearms under state law from possessing ammunition, although the federal ammunition purchaser prohibitions apply.
