I was wondering what you guys think about "See thru" scope rings. I like to have the option sometimes to use my sights on close up shots and my scope on distant shots. I don't think there as stable for long range shooting or heavy recoil pistols. There may be some parallax problems. They can be useful in some situations. Does anyone else use them?

I keep mine as low as possible, avoids parallax error.

Big parallax problems, unless you're sighting in your scope for a pretty substantial distance
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
