Question about a model 744 revolver

Hi, folks!
I have a chance to get a DW revolver, model 744 at a fairly good price. It's a Palmer gun, serial # 44S00257X. Is there a way to tell just by serial number range if this is one of undesirable Palmer guns? Can CZ USA be of any help with this matter? Thanks so much for any info!

can't say for sure without seeing in person. you can tell by the fit function and finish what shape it is in, I have a blue Palmer in the 44b00277x sn. range and it is as well made as my Monson so don't wave the Palmer guns off till you have inspected them up close! Good luck! and before anyone else tells you we love pictures so
if you got them show them.
