How to vacuum seal food in Mason Jar Sealer?

Vacuum sealing food in Mason jar vacuum sealer is a game-changer for preserving freshness—whether you’re storing homemade jams, dried snacks, or leftover meals. It locks out air, slows spoilage, and keeps flavors intact for months. With a Mason jar vacuum sealer, the process is simple, even for beginners. Follow this easy guide to master it in minutes.

Safety Notes

Read all instructions carefully in this manual before use.

  • Do not place appliance on wet surfaces.
  • Do not place appliance on unflat surfces.
  • Close supervision is necessary when appliance is used by or near children.
  • Do not allow appliance to be used as a toy.
  • Do not use the product while charging.

Before to use

1.Operation: press and hold the button for 2 seconds to power on & off.

2.After the machine finishes vacuuming air, within 3 seconds, the vacuuming operation cannot be initiated again by pressing the button.

3.The Air Vent of a vacuum sealer shall not be blocked.

4.The Mason jar sealer will automatically show the remaining battery percentage (e.g., "75%") once the vacuuming process is completed.

Charging

When you connect the Mason jar sealer to a power source to start charging, the screen will immediately display the real-time power percentage clearly, such as 80%. This allows you to have a clear and instant understanding of the charging progress.

 Vacuum Operation for Mason Jar

Step 1: Prep Your Mason Jar and Food

First, ensure your Mason jar is clean, dry, and free of cracks—any damage can break the vacuum seal.

Next, prepare your food:

For wet or liquid-based foods (like soups or sauces), let them cool completely to avoid steam interfering with the seal.

For dry foods (like nuts or grains), fill the jar to about ¾ full—leave a small gap at the top to prevent overflow during sealing.

Once the food is in the jar, place the flat Mason jar lid on top (no need to twist it tight) and screw the metal ring around the lid until it’s finger-tight—overtightening will stop the sealer from removing air properly.

Step 2: Take your Mason jar sealer (the attachment that connects to your vacuum device) and align its opening with the top of the Mason jar. Make sure the sealer sits evenly on the jar’s mouth—this creates an airtight connection. Gently press down horizontally until you feel it “click” or sit securely in place. If it wobbles, adjust it to ensure a tight fit—this is key to a successful vacuum.

Mastering Mason jar vacuum sealing isn’t just about preserving food—it’s about turning simple storage into a way to lock in homemade flavors, cut down on waste, and keep your pantry organized for weeks or even months. Once you get the hang of these easy steps, you’ll find yourself reaching for your sealer and jars again and again—whether it’s for batch-cooked soups, summer’s fresh berries, or crunchy nuts that stay crisp. With a little practice, this handy technique will become second nature, making every meal prep session smoother and every stored ingredient taste just as fresh as the day you sealed it.

Vacuum Operation for Air Valve Bags

1. Seal the air valve bags with clips from one end of the bag to the other, making sure the bag is completely closed.

2. Install the air valve; align the tube’s airtight nozzle with the plastic valve of the bag to ensure a tight seal.

3. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to extract the air from the air valve bag, or press the power button directly while the device is powered on.

4. When the vacuum jar sealer starts working, it will display the vacuuming duration in seconds, and the vacuum bag will gradually contract.

5. Once the vacuuming process is completed, the vacuum jar sealer will show the remaining battery percentage (e.g., “power: 95%").

Why not simply fill tempered jar to 90% capacity while hot apply lit & lock?

As the steam condenses it creates a "partial vacuum".

Is this still the Dan Wesson Forum? First post in days and nothing about guns? I guess everyone is busy hunting, watching football and shopping. Except me. I started repotting my bonsai on Nov 2 and won't get done till March. I have more bonsai than Dan Wessons. But I don't have to water the guns twice a day.
