On the DW forum home page click on FAQ’s. There’s a section on ‘When was my DW made’. There will be a serial number list.

It is not a definative list like a S&W shipping date or a Colt. Dan Wesson records were appropriated by the BATF after every bankruptcy. They are in a black hole, never to escape. However, Hawking radiation escapes a black hole and someday Dan Wesson records could appear. Unless they go to another dimension. Our list is created by members with factory bill of sales, memories of old-timers, etc. It is not exact. There are benchmarks, the years when the roll mark and serial numbers changed. That narrows it down.
